Not a single member of the audience will forget the night they saw Judy Garland perform at Festival Hall in 1964.
The American singer and actress was nearly an hour late on stage and then when she did finally appear, "she was not fully compass and wrestled with the microphone all over the stage", according to ABC Radio Melbourne listener John who was at the concert.
That memorable night is now being made into a stage show for the Midsumma festival.
'Judy - Australia - 1964' starring Nina Ferro and Matt Hetherington is playing at the National Theatre in St Kilda on Feb 10 & 11.
