For the fifth time, Martha Argerich and Artistic Director Daniel Kühnel are putting together their best-pals June week in the Laeiszhalle and the Elbphilharmonie. The artists include Mischa Maisky, Daniel Barenboim, Daniil Trifonov, Stephen Kovacevich, trumpeter Avishai Cohen and Elena Bashkirova, with the fado vocalist Carminho. The Indian singer Kaushiki Chakraborty will also be there.
Hamburg stepped in when Martha’s Lugano festival ran out of money a few years back.
