Actor Sophie Wilde is an Amyl and the Sniffers mega fan.
She wears their merch to our interview and gushes about seeing them live twice in the past month, but admits she forgot to cast them her vote in triple j's Hottest 100: "Sacrilegious, I know".
But Sophie's had a busy year. Since her breakout role in A24's Aussie horror smash-hit Talk to Me, she's led the Netflix series Everything Now, won an AACTA award and was personally congratulated by Prince William after her nomination for BAFTA's Rising Star Award.

Now, the 26-year-old from Sydney's Enmore, on Gadigal land, stars alongside Nicole Kidman in the racy new flick, Babygirl, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival to a six-and-a-half-minute standing ovation.
Babygirl is hooked on tech CEO Romy (Kidman) and her affair with a much younger intern (played by Triangle of Sadness's Harris Dickinson). Sophie plays Kidman's ambitious assistant, Esme, in a mentor-mentee relationship that mirrors the bond between the two actors.
ABC Entertainment caught up with Sophie to mark the release of Babygirl, hear more about her music obsessions, and to compel her to change her passwords.
What surprised you about Nicole Kidman?
I mean she's just so cool, she's awesome. You know, it's Nicole Kidman, and I think for her to be so down to earth and warm and loving and welcoming, it's unreal.
I have loved the press tour and watching some of her answers to things. Like when she was like, “I love to go to a rave”.
What! Have you been raving together?
I wish! I need to text her.
You could've taken her to the Amyl and the Sniffers gig
Oh my god. I feel like she'd be into it. Absolutely.
Did you have any Australian inside jokes on set?
Not really. Because we're both Australian, and it's an American piece, I felt like we were really trying to stay in accent and be as grounded in the world as possible.
It's so easy to slip into the Aussie accent, but staying in accent on set [even off-camera], allows you to really sink into it.
But we had some great chats, just about growing up in Sydney.

What do you miss about Sydney when you're away for work?
I think probably the beach. Also random pubs, like The Cricks, and friends, family. The Continental in Newtown.
What's your go-to beach in Sydney?
Recently, I've become a Camp Cove girlie. But [before that] it was always Gordon's [Bay].
What's the best thing to put on toast?
Crazy, crazy, crazy. Don't know why I'm really obsessed with this at the moment, but butter and miso paste, and anything else. You could put jam on top, or some banana, you could even put an egg on there and it still slaps.
Is it a bit like Vegemite?
Yeah, it's sort of like the umami-ness of it. [When] I'm away from home I need a substitute, and I refuse to do Marmite.
What's the last photo you took?
Ooh, what's it gonna be? Oh, it's literally a tree. I saw this tree this morning and I was like: "It's so pretty!"
And then I saved this meme, because it's hilarious.
